Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 10, 2026

Tale Virtues is made by Urban Debug, a DBA of Blurred Whisper LLC ("we," "us"). This policy explains what the app does and doesn't do with information. We've tried to keep it short and plain — it's a children's app and the answer is mostly "nothing."

What we collect

Nothing.

Tale Virtues does not require an account, does not ask for your name or your child's name, and does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information about you or your child.

The app keeps a small amount of data on your device only — which cards you've favorited, which card you last opened, your reminder time, and whether you've completed onboarding. This data lives in the app's local storage on your phone and is never sent to us or to anyone else. Deleting the app removes it.

What we don't do

  • We don't use analytics or tracking tools.
  • We don't use advertising, advertising IDs, or third-party advertising SDKs.
  • We don't fingerprint your device.
  • We don't share, sell, or rent any information, because we don't have any.
  • We don't ask for permissions we don't need. The app requests notification permission only if you choose to enable the Daily Virtue Reminder.

What happens when you make a purchase

Tale Virtues offers one optional in-app purchase that unlocks the remaining virtue decks. The purchase is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details.

To validate purchases and enable "Restore Purchases" on a future device, we use RevenueCat, a service that processes app receipts. RevenueCat assigns an anonymous identifier to your installation and stores the fact that a purchase occurred. This identifier is not linked to your name, email, Apple ID, or any other personal information.

Apple's handling of the transaction is governed by Apple's privacy policy. RevenueCat's handling is governed by RevenueCat's privacy policy.

Children's privacy

Tale Virtues is designed for parents and educators to use with children ages 4–9. The app does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children. Because we don't collect data at all, we comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) by design.

Content downloads

When you unlock the paid decks, the app downloads card content and illustrations from our content host (Supabase). These downloads use anonymous, standard HTTPS requests. No identifying information about you is sent — only a request for the file. Standard server logs (IP address, timestamp) may be kept by the hosting provider for short-term operational purposes; we don't use those logs to identify users.

Your choices

  • Notifications. You can turn the Daily Virtue Reminder on or off at any time in Settings, or in your phone's system settings.
  • Local data. Deleting the app removes everything stored on your device.
  • Restoring purchases. Because we don't keep records, restoring an earlier purchase is handled by Apple — tap "Restore Purchases" in Settings and Apple will re-grant your unlock.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change what the app does in a way that affects this policy, we'll update this page and note the new date at the top. Material changes will also be reflected in a future app update's release notes.
